The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) is the cover story in February 2012 issue of the Sky & Telescope magazine (full magazine article), which features the LMT as one of its participating stations. The LMT is situated centrally in the layout of the telescopes and provides important baselines to the other telescopes for good imaging. The LMT will also provide the second largest collecting area and sensitivity next to the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA).
